The Mandarin Club in Dixon Street Sydney..you don't need to be a member to be admitted.

David, when I was in Sydney last, I didn't see any clubs as you describe, we don't have them here either, They do have places like China Town over there, and another place called Cabramatta, which I have been to, you may interact there is your best bet. Or check if there is a China-Australia Association, like some migrant communities have throughout the world.
