younger kids like younger than 10 need about 11-12 hours of sleep, adolescents atleast 10 and adults can actually sleep for only 5hrs

Most experts recommend 8 hours. But, that is just to be fully alert and awake. Meaning, you'll most likely be tired when you wake up.

About 10 , then a catnap during the day.
