What is my Dachshund mixed with?
I just bought him from the Humane Society, and they told me he was a standard Dachshund/mix. I was wondering if you could tell me what he could be mixed with? His face looks a bit like a Chihuahua's, but his ears I can't figure out. Neither can I figure out that tail!

With the longer legs, curly type tail and ears, I'd say it was dachshund mixed with Pomeranian. it would explain the ears and tail.

I'd say either a Pomeranian or a Papillon. Its more of the ears and face of why I say those. Not the tail because I've known several long haired Dachshund that hold their tails like that.

Congratulations on a very cute dog. I agree with the first two answers--the head, ears, tail and coloring all suggest Pomeranian. Thank you for adopting a rescue dog--an angel with fur. I wish more people would do so. Good luck with him.

Personally I like guys with smaller hair. I don't mind it being a little long like 3-4 ins (maybe a little longer) as long as it's styled in a good way.

well u def have a heinz 57 there lol. but i would say pomeranin and dashund, or pom and corgi, but i dont see any chihuhua. def pom for that face and hair, the body is longer with a tail but the body is not small like a pom or dashund thats why i say corgi. but u can go to any petsmart and get a dna kit for like 60 or 70 bucks and swab his mouth and send it off. they will tell u exactly what ur dog is mixed with and how much percent.

What a cutie - my guess would be Papillon mixed in with the dachsie, those ears and that coat is long hair dachshund and Papillon looking, would explain the big stand up ears too.
In any case, absolutely gorgeous - and glad you adopted, hope you take really good care of
your new companion.
