Is it now time for the British people to stand up and be counted.?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1340794/Mu...
I'm talking to everyone here including all the moderate UK muslims, we all need to stand together or risk creating further divisions within what's left of our society. Time for the muslim community to start getting its house in order rather than just keeping quiet, their silence has been deafening for far too long.
@ MarcThyme. I don't get all my 'news' from the DM, same as I don't get all my 'news' from the Guardian, Telegraph or the Sun. As for visiting a library, if I want to read a book I'll go out and buy it. Thanks for not answering the question though, you should be a politician.
@ FrouFrou. Yes we do have a right to ignore it, but there's a reason the the word ignorance contains the word ignore. Its ignoring the little things that has resulted in so many of the problems that we have in the UK, is there really that much difference between ignoring and apathy? If you clamp down properly on the minor incidents you discourage some from perpetrating major incidents. I do agree with you that there are other issues we should be complaining about though. Unfortunately none of the so called 'big 3' political parties could give a monkeys about those that vote for them. Their agendas are all the same, keep our snouts in the trough for as long as humanly possible. As long as they wear the right colo

I think the British public should stand together and oppose all those who preach the politics of hate, and I include Rumaysah and the banned Islam4UK group among those dealing in hate.
However, not all those preaching hate are Muslim groups or even banned groups. Let's also join together and oppose all those who preach hate, whether they are Muslim, or anti-Muslim, legal or banned.
Let's make 2011 the year we say no to the leaders of hate, like Rumaysah, Choudary, Griffin and Yaxley-Lennon.

Christmas is a festival that is predominantly Western in terms of the countries that celebrate it. Ramadan is a festival that is predominantly Muslim.
When western people visit Muslim countries the advice is to respect local traditions. They may not always do it, but that is the advice, and their are consequences for failing to do so.
When Muslim people visit the west, they should respect western traditions (Christmas is in fact actually a religious festival - the concerns raised are actually ancillary issues - admittedly serious ones, but they are not the point behind Christmas). Clearly from the poster and other world events, they do not do this either.
What is lacking here on both sides is a lack of respect for other cultures and beliefs. When you are in someone elses territory, you should respect their system. You don't have to adopt it, just respect it.
(If you want to see an example of what happens when different cultures don't respect each other, take a look at what happened in Bosnia in the 1990's. War crimes/crimes against humanity by both sides)

I live 9 miles from Birmingham city centre, the second most populated city in the UK and I've never seen any muslim posters or any extreme crap like that. There must not be many of these extremists around because I've never seen evidence of them here. I have, however, seen peaceful muslims.
I do agree though, hate like this is illegal and should be treated very harshly. If I saw that poster in the street I would tear it down and rip it up.

I think it is time for the British to defend themselves and stand up against everyone who might destroy their culture - including David Cameron, the EU and the Muslim Community...Enough said.

why?
cos some random people made some random posters, they have a right to do it, and we all have a right to ignore it, which we will, cos thas what we normally do
seriously its nothing to bother about, people do these thing swhen they feel ignored, and they are ignored , that wont make a difference
i think we have worse things going on, like a tory government, that we need to speak up about
mind you, one thing i think needs dealing with is the amount of 'religious family honour killings' , thats just not on

Got to hand it to the Daily Mail, if it wasn't for them the majority of the population of Great Britain would never even have heard of this group! There are plenty of weird fringe cultish groups around, preaching all sorts of bizarre things, but trust the good old Mail to publish this one!

To be honest the poster is pretty accurate isn't it,the only thing that could be wrong is the fact that it's not always christians that commit the crimes against other christians

If you get all your "news" from the Daily Mail, then perhaps it's time you visited a library...
