I'm black but the hair on my beard is randomly blonde/red?

Well I find this odd.

I'm black, my parents are jamaican. I don't know much about my family history.

I'm 19 and I've been growing facial hair for a while now but I find it really embarassing that my beard / goatee would grow patches of blonde or red hair. I shave it off and a week later when it grows back, the patches of red/blonde would start coming back.

Why???

Could it be getting bleached from anything? such as acne medication? or perhaps you have a scar or nerve damage in that area. some people have random white patches of hair or skin on their body

Ya, I think you have some white ancestors. I am mixed and every so often I find a tiny bit of blonde hair somewhere.
