Nope, your IP address is controlled by your service provider. Therefore, it won't change based on what equipment you have. It's possible you can change your IP address by resetting your modem or most likely leaving it unplugged overnight.

If you reformat your computer your IP SETTINGS will be lost, if they are not automatically obtained, not your IP as a whole. The same will pretty much happen if you change your LAN card.

There is a chance to save your IP SETTINGS ( I put a stress on the settings again) if you change your LAN card with a new one of the same kind. If your IP is automatically assigned you should not worry.

One more thing, some times providers lock their clients by MAC address, in such cases after replacing the LAN card even if your IP address is obtained automatically you won't be able to connect and you should contact your provider.

No, changing the lan card wont change your ip address. It is assigned by your isp.

If you want to change the ip that other people see you as, then you need to use a proxy. Tor is an anonymozing proxy if set up correctly.

It will not change your IP address.

To change IP address start with tutorial from http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/change-ip-address...

Then try with cloning MAC address (check out this option inside your router admin panel)

If it does not help then it means that your ISP assign static IP address to your system and you can only call them and ask for changing.

I agree with the first answerer.

Even you blow up your old computer and put in a new one, it will not affect your public ip address.

However, majority of home computers have a dynamic ip address, which will change on its own every few days or so.
