What are the top 10 must have albums for the mobile/Wedding DJ?
When it comes to DJing, I'm pretty new to it. (I'm not talking about mixing, although i have dabbled in some) and i am unfamiliar with the top songs that are played in a DJ's set (Office party/wedding) because i mainly focused on electronica and metal music in my personal life.
What are the top 10 albums i should get to start out a set, and give the crowd what they want?
I'm not closed off to any genre, but i would expect there woulden't be much of any rap (i know that songs like sexy back and all are requested a lot so popular stuff is alright)
I know i need a lot more music, but i want to get some feed back from the point of view of people playing the music, so i can put on a better show.
Thanks for all your help!

If you are just starting out, I would recommended buying compilations CD from Walmart or Target, not one artist albums. Buying compilations CDs will give you the best and most well rounded collection. The CDs will be called "Best of..." for example. Disco, Funk, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Country, Movie Themes... to name a few types. WARNING: Make sure the songs are performed by the actual artist and not covers. Some of the CDs will have the titles, but be performed by a cover bad/group like the "All Time Party Band" or something like that. DO NOT waste your money on music that is not performed by the original artist. You can also check out the list of the Top 200 Most requested on http://www.officialent.com/
