are cats better or dogs?
which would be better as i would like to have a pet. any other pet suggestions are also fine. the pet should be affordable and should be able to have an understanding with me.

If you lack experience like you need to ask this, get a cat...they all but look after themselves, but I'd get a female neutered if I was you and as for understanding, you must understand that a cat owns YOU...not the other way around.
Dogs are far more varied animals and many like the German Shepherd need careful selection...hip issues, temperament, noise etc. They don't like being left alone all day, least of all in a small place. You've given no info about your circumstance, so even as a dedicated dog owner I've suggested a cat because they are far more uniform and they can be left alone to roam even, a lot less problems!
You just can't suggest dogs to people you know nothing about without being irresponsible.

There isn't really an answer to this question because it's more of a personal choice/ preference. Some people will say cats because they might have had a cat and some people may say dogs because they might have had a dog. Cat and Dog owners can be caught in the fact that their pet is better or cats suck etc but really all animals are the same, no animal is better than another.

Well I like dogs better myself because they listen more and they mind you as long as you train them right. They also love to go on long walks and be petted and loved. And when you are sad they will find you and love you up. They make the best friend that no one can ever compare to.
With cats they don't listen and they annoy me so much. But if you rather not have a animal that you don't have to spend a lot of time with on a cat would be perfect. Because all you have to make sure is they are brushed, fed and their litter box is clean. other than that they like to be by them self.

dogs are a little harder to take care because you have to take them for a walk each day and make sure they don't pee or poop in the house when u are not there but they are a mans best friend and cats have a negative side too you know because cats don't play that much but they do play with stings and a positive side is they have a litter box and some cats are lazy and some cats are wild they both are awesome in some way so i think its 50 50
cats dogs

When you buy a cat, its cheaper. Anyway, a cat will proabally catch a lot of things. A dog
may or may not. If you want low maintenece I suggest a cat. If you want a fun pet (although
a little higher maintenece) get a dog. I have both animals. I love them both! I do fid that cats a little
easier to take care of.. But I'm not saying to get a dog, cause they're both great!

All animals are wonderful. Cats and dogs are just different.

Dogs are such loyal creatures. When you come home at night they act as if you're the only person in the world they want to see, and when you leave in the morning they look as if their hearts would break. Where in the cat world can you find this kind of devotion?
