How many days passed your due date did you go before giving birth?

Hi ladies, just wondering how many days passed your due date you went before giving birth to your little one(s)/going into labour. This is my first baby and he was due on 22nd Dec, but I am still waiting ...! An induction is booked for the 3rd Jan just in case, but I remain hopeful (although would rather he didn't come in the middle Christmas dinner, but you never can tell). Merry Christmas to all x

With my first and only, I was due on Dec. 26th. She didn't come so they scheduled induction for Dec. 31st. She ended up coming on her own on Dec. 29th, so I was 3 days past my due date. She will be 11 years old this year :)

@ beliz: I know exactly what you are saying and we ALWAYS make sure that Christmas and Birthday are completely separate. She gets LOADS of presents on both days :)

As difficult as it may be, it sounds like it might be best for you to turn down being a bridesmaid, for your friend's sake and for yours. First of all, you could have already had the baby by then, so that would mean that at the last minute, you'd have to back out. But even though the chances are greater that you will go past your due date, it's still never a good idea to be away from the place where you're planning on delivering that close to your due date because you never know what will happen. And I'm sure your doctor or midwife will strongly advise you not to go. So if I were in your shoes, I would explain everything to my friend. I'm sure she'll understand--I mean, you can't really control when baby wants to come. I'm sure it's difficult, but that's what's safest for you and your baby. Just bad timing, I guess. I've had to miss several of my close friends' weddings too, and I know it's no fun, but you just havae to do what's best. Congrats on your baby, though! :)

I went fifteen days over with my first pregnancy and had to be induced. He was nowhere near ready to be born of his own accord, but he was full-term and nearly 9 pounds

ten days over with the second, and I was threatened with induction, but he arrived naturally - eventually

    Third was six days late.

The first was so late that he was eventually born under the "wrong" zodiac sign.
