Thalassemia minor..what is the solution?
So last week I went to the doctor, and he told me that I am anemic. My hemoglobin was low (123). But he failed to exlplain me what kind of anemia is this.
MCV :low
MCH : low
RDW : High
RBCs count :High (near high limit)
Ferritin : Normal (70)
B12 : Normal (153)
From web research I found out that this kind of anemia is caused by thalassemia minor.
The solluiton for iron anemia and b12 anemia is straightforward. You take suppliments.
But what should I do with Thalessemia caused anemia.
How do I increase my hemoglobin level?

Thalassemia is a genetic disease which is fairly dramatic in nature. Most affected over age 30 have a tough time in basic life functions.
Did you see a family practitioner or a hem-onc?
As for altering your henaglobin levels, that is a very tricky idea. Drugs such as Humira will promote RBC production but can promote advanced cancer additionally. You can receive packed RBC's but that's costly.

Did the doctor tell you that you had thalassemia minor or are you guessing due to what you read online? There is no way you can conclude that you have Thalassemia from these results. It is a genetic abnormality that effects the subunits of your hemoglobin. (Is your hemoglobin 12.3?)
These results are telling you that you have a lot of red cells, but they are small. Other labs such as TIBC and iron (slightly different than ferritin) would be helpful. Did they see target cells?
Thalassemia can be diagnosed with hemoglobin electrophoresis.

On my computer, I have installed Windows Defender, Lavasoft's Ad Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. I use Windows Defender for real time protection. Ad Aware Personal Edition does not have any real time protection. Spybot does have a real time protection feature but it is more trouble than its worth. I highly recommend all these programs. I don't dispute that all 3 programs pale in comparsion to commercial products, like Spyware Doctor or SpySweeper. These 2 programs are stellar in preventing and removing spyware. Unfortunately, they are incredible resource hogs and will slow down any computer. They use close to 100MB of RAM and, when scanning, use 99% of the CPU. I feel you need to find a balance between protection and performance, which is why I stick with the first 3 programs mentioned above.

All you can do is continue supplementing and eating lots of green leafy veggies which contain high amounts of ferritin.
Thalessemia is a genetic disorder, and cannot be fixed by our current level of technology.
