Apparently you don't "know-it-all".
If I have information or advice that someone requests and they are polite and respectful in their asking, I have no problem sharing with them what I have.
Besides, us old guys , sooner or later, need to pass the torch to you youngsters.

It's entertaining. Some of the stuff folks come up with is hysterical. Once and a while a really good question comes up that is a challenge so you try and find an answer. After a while you begin to realize that what is common sense to you is a complete mystery to others. But basically the entertainment factor.
