windows 7 dose it ever expire and what can i do with it?
ok i have an acer aspire & and acer aspire one mini
ok on mini it says it has win7 stater that means i have to buy the full version right
also on my acer aspire it says it has the win7 but well what i need to now is when you buy the program win7 do u get everything like word excel all those programs when u buy the win7 or other programs need to be installed thanks
im not really into computer just chk emails ,surf and thats all so can you plz eplain what YOU do when you buy a new computer laptop
sens my wife gose to school she need word and all those programs and for some reson my asprie the word programs are not working why ? is ta 1-2 years old laptop
and the mini just bought it so she can take it to school it perfect small and it fits in her purse but like i said i has win7 starter thanks

You don't get Word, Excel, etc. free with ANY Windows operating system. The one on the laptop was a free trial copy that expired sixty days after you started using it.
You don't have to buy Windows 7 if you have Windows 7 Starter. You just paid less for it and got less on it. I'm sure Microsoft would be tickled pink to sell you an upgrade (that's one of the reasons for Starter) but you don't have to.
Since your wife is a student, she may qualify for the Office (Word, Excel, ...) 2010 Professional Academic edition at a pretty good price ($79.95):

Make sure she can install it on her Mini before you buy it. She may need a CD drive, or she may be able to download it. Be sure first.

Windows 7 Starter does not expire, it just doesn't have very many features.
If you upgrade to Home Premium, you'll get a lot of extra little features, but you might not use all of them.
