Husband on his vacation time sleeps?
Husband is off from work for the holiday break and so far has just slept the first day away! What the hell over twenty hours sleeping. Woke up ate then laid on the couch with the romote in his hand asleep. He's not ill, he's just always sleeping on his vacations. When I have time off I don't sleep all day. Is this a guy thing? Any other husbands out there doing this?

I have never slept a whole day away, but I have slept 12 hours. It is nice to do it once in awhile, although I don't feel good afterward. Humans are not meant to get that much sleep, but still at the time it feels like you are recouping.
Just don't let him sleep away any of his other days off. Laziness begets more laziness.

Does he have a physical job? I know that when I get a few days off, I am so overly exhausted that it takes me days to recoup. When I had an office job, I was ready to go and had extra energy, but construction just wiped me out.
It would take me 4-5 days of near bed rest to have any energy to use for fun. Otherwise I am running on reserves. My wife think that if I don't complain that I am perfect when in fact I am in severe pain and exhaustion.
She would get mad at me because I wasn't experiencing the same thing she was. I found out that this is the most common form of 'projection'. That is when you think that everyone else thinks and feels JUST LIKE YOU.
Just because she had energy, did not mean I did. In fact, after the doctor told me that if I didn't rest I was in deep trouble physically, she barely cut me any slack. After 25 years of that, I have so many injuries that I will never recover.
Maybe you can't understand why he is tired, but you don't have to. You simply have to KNOW that he is tired and plan accordingly.
If you really want to do things, plan for his recovery time and THEN plan the things you want to do.
If we ever go on a cruise, I will insist on at least 4 days rest before hand or I will simply be a walking zombie. There is some phenomenon that happens when you finally slow down. Everything just catches up to you and you crash hard.
Men are different than women this way too. They tend to expend more energy in a short time and then crash hard. Women tend to pace themselves and last longer. This doesn't make you any more 'right' than him... simply different.

Let the poor man sleep. He must need it. I don't know of anyone who sleeps just to piss off their spouse. Maybe he is depressed. Maybe he is just bone tired. When I was working 60-80 a week for months on end, I regularly found it necessary to sleep an entire weekend, except to eat and go to the bathroom. I was tired!

My husband often does this too. It depends on his schedule and how he slept during the week, sometimes he needs to catch up. Vacation time should be unwind time; for some, that means sleeping.

Why would you deny your husband a sleepy day?
Just because that wouldn't be your choice it doesn't mean he shouldn't have a jammie day.
No, it's not a guy thing. I just had a jammie day last weekend. Slept in, woke up, had a nap, watched tv, went to bed early. Why? Because it was MY day off.

I'm pretty much the same as your husband. I LOVE to sleep! Especially after a long year of work! If it bothers you and you want to do something, plan it with him.

Let him have a day or two, let him unwind and relax. But you gotta do something let him sleep in but he has to take you out for dinner. Speak up is all im saying.

When I was a kid, my mom resented anyone sleeping if she wasn't sleeping. In fact, this happened when she called me last week and I was sleeping at 1pm(I am 48). You sound like my mom.
