Family Vacation Ideas?
I am trying to find a good vacation spot for my family (which includes 8 kids ages 5 to 20). I live in Northern Kentucky and would like to find a close place that is like Gatlinburg, TN. If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful. I don't want to travel more than 7 hours to the place.
I need to find a place that has the same attractions as Gatlingburg. For example: Nascar Speedway. Things like that for kids to do. We are going to be there for a week. Thank you.

The Airforce Museum in Dayton is the best in the country. In fact, it ruined all other aviation museums for me because nothing else compares (Udvar Hazy is second).
Bridge Day at the New River Gorge Bridge was cool. Walk the bridge, watch people jump off, and walk the old road to the other side. Go whitewater rafting in the summer.
Keep going east to White Sulfur Springs and check out the Greenbriar. Bunker, historic hotel, gambling, and a bunch of other activities (including falconing).

I heard Lake Cumberland is pretty nice. There is also COSI, the Columbus Children's Museum. In Cincinnati we have King's Island as well as the Beach Waterpark. There is also a Great Wolf Lodge nearby. If you are willing to drive to Sandusky, there is Cedar Point and Lake Erie.
