A Christmas Story Movie Question?

In the movie a Christmas Story, the school teacher Ms. Shields opens her desk drawer which is full of gag & joke items. In the desk drawer is a box labeled "Ace of Test Pilots" next to a pair of chattering teeth, what exactly is Ace of Test Pilots supposed to be? is it a toy or a practical joke of some sort. Let me know.

    It's a book written in 1937 Pat Nelson: Ace of Test Pilots by Douglas Lee
