Is there a such thing of kettle corn that's NOT made out of corn?

Or popcorn kernels?

OK. Online you can order sorghum kernels, and they actually pop like popcorn. Its like tiny popcorn though so I have no idea how they interact with sugar. Other than corn I don't know of any grain that pops like that in oil. You could try puffed rice... or puffed wheat, but I think both might buckle under a sugar syrup. If you're asking because of an allergy, I recommend fudge lol. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
