How can I ask for a salary increase ?

Hi everyone, I work in a reputed multinational advertising & marketing consulting company as a Project Manager. I had a probation period of six months, and this period will end this December. When was appointed, I demanded comparatively a low salary, and later I came to know that if I demanded more, I would get that figure. My boss ensured me that I am getting permanent, and will get the new appointment letter soon, though they haven't told me anything about the salary scale. Now, I want to ask for increasing my salary scale. My question is whether I should ask for a raise or not, and if I ask, how should I proceed ?

Thanks for reading my question.

Maybe you find another job with higher salary, if you are not sure how to ask for a salary increase.

Jump to another company is the faster way to increase salary if you are experienced and valuable.

I they said that you will be getting a letter, i would wait for that to come. If after you don't get what was promised to you then bring it up to your boss that when you started this was discussed and if then you see nothing you need to look for another job that will give you what you hope to get and now you have your foot in the door with experience behind you. look at it as a new chapter in your life.

    Hope all goes as planned.
