How can I get rid of phlegm bothering my voice while singing?
I'm trying out for Footloose at my school and I have to sing,"Let's hear it for they boy" As you may know is a really tough song. And basically my voice keeps sounding like Miley Cyrus and it's like cracking and sounds really rough. Without coughing it all out, how can I get rid of it?

I don't know anything about singing, but avoid dairy products, sugar, fruit juice, and all processed food while rehearsing and performing. Drink lots of water. Hot tea with honey won't hurt you, either.

believe me. Smoking does no longer stabilize your voice. It does irreparable harm. I used to sing and everybody who tells you it truly is not any longer a specialist singer(although they could imagine they're-that is the first rule of specialist singing)! you want to take a voice type both privately with a vocal coach or take a type at your interior of reach college or community training. it truly is the in user-friendly words thanks to hit upon procedures to sing wisely and nicely. in case you smoke, you're inquiring for worry and not in any respect merely with singing, my buddy.

Rest your voice as much as possible and drink plenty of water. It will help soothe your voice.
Source(s): It worked for me recently when my voice was scratchy and I had phlegm. I'm not a singer but I am in a line of work that relies heavily on voice and speaking.
