How long does it take to recover from hypothermia?
For arguments sake, lets say a healthy male 25 years old is suffering from moderate hypothermia. Severe shivering but doesn't loose consciousness. If given immediate attention, how long would it take before he was up and walking again?

should only take 2-4 hours. perhaps 12 before full cognitive function returns. Just warm him up slowly and don't let him sleep for a few hours. he'll probably always have more cold sensitivity on his extremities and if he's a smoker should stop before next winter to avoid damage from low blood flow to fingers and toes.

No, you had a disorder, no doubt about it! But I know how you feel, O went through a sort of depression and it eventually went away. But it seemed like it was just too easy. That something that hard couldn't have gone away that fast. But no matter how severe it was, it CAN just stop. Subconsciously, too. So no need to feel guilty or anything. And even if you never had a disorder in the first place (but you did, I'm just saying if...) who cares? Just because it doesn't have a sciencey name automatically makes it not a problem? -.- Unfortunately, though, depression comes back easier than anorexia... Now if you need me I'll be in my bedroom corner crying over the fact I can't get over my extreme case of shyness... Hoep this hlped!
