Which is worse to go: Japanese baseball or Minor Leagues?
There are many baseball players destined to be Major Leaguers end up packing their bags out west or demoted to the Minor Leagues. Some don't play hard enough or just wanting to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Here are the differences between two subjects:
Japanese baseball – Tie games are allowed, and technical elements are slightly different: a smaller baseball, strike zone, and playing field are used. The Japanese baseball is wound more tightly and is harder than an American baseball. The strike zone is narrower "inside" than away from the batter.
Minor Leagues – Different that the rules in Japan though the Minor Leagues are the first challenges in order to get a Major League call up. The Minors are kinda the same as the Majors in regulations.
But the main thing is this; which is the worst way to go if you're playing poorly: Japanese league or Minor Leagues?

NPB (professional Japanese baseball) is a good paying league with excellent media coverage and rabid fans. The minor leagues play to 2,000 people or less a night the highest paid players get about $45,000 and they have to play for almost all of their own equipment.
I'd play in either, but would preffer to be a Pro in Japan to the milb in the USA.

Usually, poor players are sent to the minor leagues. Many stars go touring in Japan.

The average MLB player will get a thousand times in Japan what they would make demoted to the minors.

Japan is great for ball players. No stigma to go there. Minor leagues isn't bad, either.

Minor Leagues is better. That would be quite an experience. Going from park to park in your own country, and it isn't like a death sentence. most guys have at least 1 shot at the bigs, by that I mean on the 40 man at least once. Most guys who go to Japan, stay there,

It depends, japanese players are an anomaly, you'll never know what you will get. Same with Cuba, I mean the best Cuban player the Yankees got was El Duque due to him being a big game pitcher.

I'd much rather go to Japan then third rate American city. My A's have a AA team in Stockton, personally I'd rather go to Japan anyday then live in Stockton.
