I have always felt a little let down right after Christmas. My home is decorated right after Thanksgiving and I enjoy every minute of the season. I'll play my Christmas CD's until after the New Year and light my tree in the evening. Once the New Year gets here, it's like there is nothing to look forward to until spring. Where I live the winter can be long and very cold with to much snow. I battle it by trying to eat well. I work on changing things around in my home and staying connected to people I care about

Yes I do. I do so much preparation and then before you know it, it's over. Some years I am ready for it to be over, but for some reason I was so sad after opening the presents. Usually we go right after to the movies, but this year we couldn't agree on the same one so we didn't go. The thought of taking all the decorations down really depresses me. I almost want to cry. I am still listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas shows. What am I going to do with myself when I can't put it off any longer and have to take down the tree. Boo Hoo.

Yeah, not totally depressed though, but sad.

No. Christmas is not over until Epiphany (6th January) is over. 7th January used to be called St Distaff's Day, because it was the day when women started spinning again after the Christmas holiday. I refuse to start spinning again until then.
