Is it possible to order duck meat from local dutch butcher shop?
I heard my dutch friend said you can actually order a large variety of meats from the butcher shop, can I order duck meat from any kind of butcher shop? How long does it normally take?

This time of the year you can find duck meat in most supermarkets.
Round the year you will find it in some, Aldi and Liddle often have it when no others do.
Butchers might be able to order Duck and other fowl, but there are specialized shops for that kind of meat, called poelier. You will find those in all bigger towns, the local phone book or google can help you find your local one.
Of course, you can always ask your butchers, they can often do more than we give them credit for.
