Why does everyone hate on the Packers for cheese?

I'm a proud cheesehead from Green Bay.

I think it's funny when opposing fans try to "hurt" a Packer fans feelings by calling them cheeseheads. It's a moniker we like, it started out as an attempt by Illinois sports fans to get under the Packer fans skin. It didn't work, it had the opposite reaction.

And yes, cheese is delicious

Not everyone hates the Packers, and if they do, I doubt it has anything to do with cheese.

I agree that cheese is delicious, and Wisconsin cheese in particular is the best (I want to boycott the TV stations who run those stupid California Cows commercials).

Cheese heads look a little ridiculous but so do a lot of other things people put on their heads. If people are going to buy them, then more power to the guy selling them.

From a Vikings fan I don't think it is making fun of a Packer fan or the team to say cheesehead. When I say it I don't mean it as a diss. Its obvious that the term is endearing to their fans. If they didn't like the term I doubt they would wear a cheese wedge on their head. If they are making fun of Wisconson/Packers it is just because they are too stupid to understand...And yes, cheese is delicious. I may disagree with Packer fans about alot of things (obviously!!) but Wisconsin cheese is one thing we will always agree on.

Every team gets teased for something or the other. Just look at it this way, people can't think of very much else to make fun of the Packers for so they use cheese, something that has nothing to do with the team, and with an essential tasty dairy product instead. I would consider that a compliment rather than an insult.

Cheese is great. Cheese/mold hats don't really seem like the warmest thing to wear. However; it may make you feel closer to cows...
