How to strengthen my voice when I talk?
My voice is really weak and quiet; even when I shout, it can be difficult to reach the volume I want. At parties I can't talk over the music without yelling. I would love to make a vlog for YouTube, but my quiet voice clashes with the energy I have and want to portray. People judge me as someone quiet and shy, just because I can't be loud with my voice, so when they go to town I quite often get left out. I want to be a teacher, but if the kids couldn't hear me then they wouldn't respect me, and I probably wouldn't even pass the work experience part of the course.
How can I make my voice stronger and more assured? Are there vocal exercises? Or am I stuck with this wimpy little voice for the rest of my life?
Thanks for any help :)
It's not genetic - not with the people I'm related to.
Loss of confidence almost made me lose my voice completely, but after 5 years I've managed to build it back up again... Unfortunately, my voice has not returned with it.

Sometimes its just genetic, but you can fix it. You just need confidence. One thing that might help is to Chromatically go through the key signatures as loud as you can each day, that might give it more strenght.

Try toastmasters, if theres one near you (or something similar) its a public speaking group, designed to help people like yourself (& people who just want to hone their public speech skills).
You should consider getting advice from a speech therapist, who can give you exersizes to improve your speech & confidence.
