And also, I live in New Zealand. Will it tell me upfront the amount I need to pay, or will I need to do a lot of calculating exchange rates/shipping/etc?

ive not had a problem with them and you can get some really good bargains --- but rarely do i buy overseas as in us , gb etc ---but over the ditch is ok --- lol --- good luck

it is safe as long as you check the persons rating that your buying from. Try to make sure its in the high 90's. you also want to look at how many transactions they have done. The more the better
