Multiple HDMI devices to Surround Sound with one HDMI port?
This is my setup right now:
I have a TV with three HDMI inputs. I have a home theater system (w/ bluray player) with only one HDMI port. I have XBOX and HD television service.
I want my setup to have all audio play through the surround sound speakers. I do not have the option of using component cables on the XBOX or TV.
What are my options for making this happen? I would prefer not to have extra remotes for HDMI switchers or anything of the sort. Can the TV be set to export audio through that connection with the home theater system? Or do I need to buy an optical cable? Please suggest any other set-ups.
Thanks!

While it's not the optimal method of connecting a surround sound system, the lack of HDMI inputs on your receiver dictates that you should connect everything to your TV and then route your audio signal to your surround sound from your TV.
To do this, simply connect all of your external components (Xbox, Blu Ray, Cable converter, or whatever else you may have) directly to the HDMI inputs on your TV. Now find your TV's audio output (most modern TVs have them). This will most likely be an optical connection. Then route a cable from this audio output to an input on your receiver.
For audio performance, it is best to connect all components directly into your surround sound receiver, but the lack of inputs prevents this. Besides, cheaper receivers such as this one don't have great sound anyway, so I doubt you would hear any degradation in the audio.
Just keep in mind that by using this configuration, you will need to use your TV to change inputs instead of your receiver.

Connect 3 HDMI cables from your devices to TV for video then optical cable ( surround sound ) or red & white cables ( stereo ) from cable box and Xbox to Home Theater System for audio.
