The Taurus and sables are known for clogged heater cores. Two ways to check let the vehicle get to operating temp and check the heater hose temps if one is hot and one cold then clogged core. Or let vehicle warm up with heater off and temp on hot. After vehicle is warm turn on heater on lowest speed setting and see if it blows warm air for a few seconds if yes then clogged core. If neither one of these happens then possible temp blend door actuator.

It is the air mixer door. It is probably stuck in the cold position. Or you have a plugged heater core.

since you changed the thermostat then flush out the heater core. you won,t get any heat if it,s clogged.

it could be that you don't have enough coolant in you system, try to add some of it, this could fix the problem

    Good Luck

is your fluid in the radiator froze? if not than it's your heater core
