Wife on birth control. Loss of sex drive.?

For several years, my wife has taken birth control to help control womanly pains.

I noticed that she has changed, not only her sex drive is down, but her confidence, and moods have changed. She is not the same person that she was a few years ago.

After doing some research, I found that birth control can cause loss of sex drive, and change her mood.

Is anyone else being crippled by this?

Are there any supplements or herbal remedies for this?

Thank you in advance for the suggestions or comments.

Update:

Thanks again everyone.

At first, I just thought she was losing interest in me.

Going to talk with her about it. She already is aware about it, but its hard for a 26 year old guy who is married, and I don't want her to feel like she has to have sex, just for me.

She could just try a different brand of b.c. and be fine. If she calls her gynie they may even call in a new script and not make her come in right away. I was out of my freaking mind on Yaz! I honestly don't know if I lost my interest in sex at that point because my bf would have to have been crazy to come near me. I was a total beotch and I only took it for 4 days. I switched brands and was fine. But I certainly have heard plenty of times that b.c. causes loss of libido so it's not like you're just grasping at straws and blaming something stupid.

Happened to me too, the only thing that helped was stopping the pill, she can go back to the docs and get her pill changed into a different one that is better suited.

I was on cerazette, it made me an emotional wreck and I couldn't even THINK about sex while on it!

I had the same problem with different pills. But, she can talk to her doc and maybe get on a low hormone dose pill, which can help with the negative side effects.

Sorry buddy but that's not the birth control that's making her have a loss of sex drive. That's what everyone blames on marriage.
