can I play old XBox games on new xbox360?

I have the old xbox with some great games and want to see if I can play them on the new xbox360

    definite many unique Xbox video games extra healthful with the 360 yet no longer all of them, no longer yet a minimum of. in case you want the record of which video games extra healthful, a link became given via yet another answerer. And NO you could not watch Blu-Ray on 360 because Xbox 360 doesn't actually have a Blu-Ray stress!! That became slightly a stupid and ignorant question...yet in case you wait i have heard rumors that Xbox 360 is getting a Blu-Ray stress so that you may attempt this! yet those are in user-friendly words rumors so do not get your hopes up.

    No,you cannot play old Xbox games on the new Xbox 360. The only way you will be able to is to burn them on the computer and update your Xbox to play those burned games. If you do burn the games,be aware that this process is not reversible so you will have to burn every game you get before you play it on your console.
