Might Have RSV? HELP!?

So my poor baby who will be 8 months on the 1st has been sick for like a month. Fist they said it was viral, give him some Triaminic, so I did. Didn't get better, 2 weeks later went back. Did a chest x-ray said it was pneumonia and gave him an antibiotic and I have been doing breathing treatment. Which brings be to today. He went in for his follow up, his cough was better but in the past 2 days got worse again. They did an RSV test on him sad I won't get the results back until tomorrow. He said that if it's positive a few things will be set in motion but didn't really tell me what would happen. Looking to my fellow mommies for some help here. What happens if it's positive? Anyone else have a baby that had this? I'm sure he will be ok. Is it contagious? Just looking for some answers here ladies. Any other input or anything about this would be really helpful. Thanks! OH! And so they decided to give him a Hep B shot, since he was behind, and he got a fever (he never gets fever from shots) I did give him Tylenol, but how do I know if it's from the shot or from him being sick?

Update:

He was already on Zythromax because of the pneumonia. He doesn't really like to sit in his bouncy seat. Since he has been able to crawl he really hates to be in one place. lol.

RSV is HIGHLY contagious . My son is 10 months and he has been sneezy & coughy since the beginning of this cold weather season . At first he had croup but when I went back to the doctor's twice after that, they said it was just from being outside with the weather going up and down so often .

there isnt a way to tell if the fever is from the shot or the sickness. my girls both had fevers ffrom their shots. my oldest had rsv at 3 months old. it isnt contagious. they will give u a strong antibiotic. prob. more breathing treatments. night air is great to help with their coughing at night. bundle them up and take them for a quick 5 minutes outside in the cool night air. and sit em in the bouncey seat while u shower, the steam will help him as well. get a humidifier for his room. should have one always for winter times, if u get the dry air like we have here in IL
