father that is into transexuals?
I am a 36 year old female. recently my 59 year old father came and stayed with us for a couple of weeks, while I was packing up his things I notice a dvd in his jacket pocket"transsexual stars". Also a about 5 years ago, he had said his dvd player broke and was sitting by the garbage, he wasn't home so I was gonna take the top off to se if I could fix it, and there was a transsexual dvd in the player. I am really confused, does this mean that my dad is gay? He has been married 4 times, and just recently separated from his wife. he is a Vietnam vet and has been in prison a few times from d.w.i.'s. He has always been messed up from the war and suffers from p.t.s.d. has had heart attacks, has had a stroke about 2 years ago. I really don't know how to feel about this or what I should do, if I should say something to him, or tell my brother.. I just don't know what to do,, any advise or information would be soooooo helpful. I have nothing against any gay, or trans gender person, and would accept whatever it is that he chooses to be, I just am confused, I mean, why would he have these DVDs if he wasn't interested in that?

Universal answer to any question about one person finding another person's porn stash:
If it's something illegal like child porn or crush videos or something, call the cops.
If it's not, gently place it back where it came from and forget you ever saw it.
Madam, I am very sorry that you have to be in such an uncomfortable situation, but the truth of the matter is that it's really none of your business. If you'd like to chat with your father about his sexual preferences, bring it up over breakfast some day.
As for your burning desire to know what this means about his sexuality- I don't know. Only he really knows. If it means anything, there are more straight men who like to watch transsexual porn than there are gay men who do.

Probably not. First off, porn is porn. Even asexual people watch porn (watching sex and having sex are two completely different ideas really.) Second, if we displace his attraction to specifically the porn image of transsexuals (the pornographic image that the industry paints us as isn't even close to what we actually are), it is still cannot be said with any certainty what his orientation is.
The best you can do is ask him, and if you aren't comfortable with that, then don't worry about it, there's nothing that needs to be done so long as he's happy.

Well that is kind of a hard question...
He might be, anything is possible. Considering he has been through so much I could see he might have different interests to try new things. Or maybe the topic fascinates him kinda like me; I am fascinated by cannibalism and necrophilia but would never dream on committing such acts.

The transsexuals in porn are actually hermaphrodites. A real transsexual is very different. A transsexual is merely someone who has a mind of the opposite gender of their body.
