Which laptop should I get?
FIRST OF ALL
I know that bigger is sometimes better especially performance but..
I sort of like the physical design too.
Laptop 1: Asus Lamborghini VX6
12.1 inch
5-6 hour battery life
nvidia ion ddr3 graphics (512mb) with optimus tech
4 gb ram
cpu: intel atom (i know core i5 is better) obviously dual core
design: looks really really awesome
overall: i know it's not great in performance
really really really REALLY hard to find it in online stores.. only one online store has it
i think it's limited edition
video of VX6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rpi4Dy8WuLg
Laptop 2: Dell XPS 15 (released 2 months ago around october)
15 inch
4 gb ram
1 gb nvidia graphics with optimus tech
6-7 hours (9 cell battery)
cpu: core i5 460
design: not as great as the asus vx6
overall: performance w/o the design
easy to find on internet.. dell.com xD

My heart's set on the asus design but set on the performance of dell.....
Must survive with the laptop for 4 yrs straight.
It's a really tough decision...
Which one would you recommend?
I'm having trouble in choosing "the one"
Dell = performance
Asus = very unique design
By the way, I'm not gonna get 2 years or more warranty on dell.. expensive..
Asus default 2-3 years i think..
My activities:
gaming (drift city - mmorpg racing)
computer programming
web design
editing some videos for youtube!
watching other videos mostly on 360p or 420p i don't think i'll use the 720p option. ever..
AND i can't have it lagging while I do screen recording
@ the person with Alienware bring up
I'm not a fan of alienware's design..
and it's expensive so no.
BTW, I take really good care of my stuff.. so the chances of me breaking it are unlikely.. and I'm sort of good with computers.. better than a huge majority of the students at my high school...

I like Unique things.. I'd go with Asus
I currently using an ASUS... I'd go with Asus
I like being practical/performance (lasting 4 yrs)... I'd go for the Dell
Dell has a great customer support... Dell
If these are the two I have to choose from, I'd go with the Dell. I'd still be tempted for the Asus.
I myself is partial towards Alienware, but in the end, practical wins every time.
Arbitration clause? Sounds bad.
Sounds like you are a POWER-USER. You are definitely better off with more POWER than looks. Looks is not going to be much comfort when your computer starts to lag.
If looks is your thing then there are alternatives like skins for your computer. You can even print yourself out one.

Dell has an arbitration clause in their terms of sale. Avoid at all costs.
