Should I get a compound or recurve bow?
I wanna be super duper good at shooting things with a bow. So I need your help deciding which is better to get: a compound or recurve? Recurves look slick and classy, but compounds I hear are better at shooting and accuracy and all that. I wanna spend like $220 on a bow. Basically, I wanna be like Legolas.

unless u are super strong, most people find a recurve bow hard to hold back and not fire while aiming. a compound bow has a breaking point where once it is drawn back it breaks at a certain point (it can be held for several seconds with less effort). as a general rule a compound bow is easier to handle than a recurve. neither will be very accurate without much practice tho.

Recommend you to start with recurve bow as it's cheaper.

Compound bow is easier to shoot accurately, recurve bow is sort of a reflex judgement shot.
Archery takes a lot of practice, recurve takes a lot more.

Recurve bows are harder to shoot but if you practice then you can get really good. And they are cheaper than compound bows. You can get a good recurve for 150. Another thing is that if you want to look like Legolas then you can get a wooden recurve which would look cool
