Is this sentence written correctly?

"I found the creation of innovative technology amazing, not only because of the availability of new gadgets but also because each new piece of tech marked humanity’s progression towards a futurama-esque future."

did I write this correctly? I feel it needs a semi-colon but im not sure

    no, you're not missing a semicolon, you're missing a comma before but "....gadgets, but..."

    I don't think it needs a semi colon, although I do feel that you should change the second because to 'as' but that's just my opinion :) Other wise it sounds good. Hope I helped, good luck.

    Grammer is correct other than the missing comma but I feel like you should either change the tech to technology or the marked to marks. Its your choice though.
