How to improve my best answer percentage?

It is going to be hard and take some time. With your 800 answers, you need to average almost 50% BAs for the next 800 to get to near 30% total. So it may take you 2000 answers at near 40% to get there. Those percentages are tough to move when you get so many answers.

There are several ways to improve the chances of BAs.

1. Write very detailed, complete sentence, correct spelling responses. They are much more likely to be picked.

2. Looking at your profile, you answer questions that get many answers. The odds are against you with those. Go to categories you like, and sort the questions by number of answers and work with zero and one answer questions. It also helps those people.

3. Be positive, but truthful. Don't speculate, don't chat, and don't try to be the questioner's friend. Getting chummy actual hurts your chances except in the P&S category.

Well, you can try choosing one category out of the 33 categories. Move your mouse over the "Browse Categories" and pick a category that fits best for you. One that you can answer a lot from. But it's going to be quite hard, as you have 800 answers. 13%-->30%=17% must be gained.

You need to answer in a category you know about. Not just some random one. I got mine from voting on my answers because no one picks a best answer. Adolescent I have no idea. Don't go their that much. haha

Give detailed answers and try as much to answer questions you are absolutely sure of the answer. If the asker fails to chose best answer,go ahead and vote yours as best

Majority of the people who ask the question are about average,make your answer short simple and brief not a whole page,so that they can understand what you are saying when answering the question,a lot of best answers i seen got pick that way.
