What do wild dogs in Africa & Australia eat?

African Wild Dogs will bring down small antelope in a pack and devour the lot in minutes, they are also scavengers that will eat the remains of Big Cat kills. That is essentially the skin and carcass (Bones).

Have been privileged to watch several WILD, AWD packs and Jackals on kills.

The image below shows a Jackal eating the remains of a Gemsbok (Lion kill) . The ruminants were first shaken out by the Lions and discarded at the side of the carcass. Not eaten.

I'm sure they eat raw meat. I believe wild dogs are carnivores just like all dogs. And they poop on their food so no one else takes it. Also by crappy food people probably want their dogs to eat top notch stuff. But a must for dogs is definitely protein just giving you a heads up.

Well first they eat what they can easily get to, the stomach and it's contents the other innards as well. If they are lucky to get to the other meat they get to it, but lions in Africa usually will chase them off. I don't know about Australia though

Prey

as in deer, rabbit and anything else they can bring down or scavenge.

They rarely eat fruits, grains, grasses, berries or other vegetables but would if hungry I believe.
