  • Why is it okay for dog rescues to ask for money?

But not okay for the low-income people to get dogs? You guys always tell people if they can't afford a dog don't get one. Rescues can't afford dogs yet they expect the public to give them hundreds even thousands of dollars in donations for the expenses to care for these animals. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that? People clearly love their animals. But then get insulted for coming on here because they don't have money for a vet.

  • What should I do. What would you do?

I bought a puppy from a young couple about 4 months ago. I stopped by to give them some puppy food my puppy didn't like since they had two pups left from the litter & not much money. Any who...Upon this meeting I learned the young lady (30) with a 4 month old baby and 4 small sons. The oldest is 7. Has severe emotional problems. I really don't want to get involved since I have been hurt before by so called "friends". I am not going to befriend this person to become a Showfer, babsitter etc. And I really am not the strongest person in the world. Myself, I have been hospitalized twice with anxiety . She called me and invited me to come over anytime. But it's such a downer I don't care to be around people like this. My own family is severely dysfunctional and I have minimal contact with them in order to keep my sanity. Only visit them during the holidays. I must take antidepressants . Well, I was driving down their street and she happened to be looking out her door at that very moment and I didn't want to be rude to I pulled in the driveway. She gave me a big hug and was crying as usual. She told me she shot up some drugs and didn't want to do it but she was so mad at her husband. He is 34 and going to college here for computer repair. What do I do? Call the law and have her jailed where she will get no help at all? And have her kids taken away. I really don't want to get involved. Or cause problems for her family. I feel so bad for her, her husband and especially those poor little kids. She says she has an appointment Friday with the mental health department.

  • Why do pit bulls attack and kill innocent people?

Wendy asked this and obviously is a pit bull hater. I cringe when I think of the people trying to look up info on the breed online and see what she choose as best answer. Which is pure HOG WASH!

  • I contacted my ex via facebook?

Do you think its wrong? We are both in our 50's now. We lived together two years in our early 20's. He is divorced but has a fiance and two kids. I am married with a son. By the way he dumped me and I told him him that hurt me. And he told me he didn't know what he wanted back then. We exchanged family photos. He seems the opposite of what I remember. A devoted father and family man. Back then he didn't want kids and didn't understand why I wanted them. He also wanted an "Open" relationship. Which I wanted no part of. It hurts he didn't choose me. I told him so.

  • Why do they say to make a list and take it to your dr.?

And when you do they don't want to see it? This has happened to me every single time even the er dr.s. How do they expect to get a proper diagnosis if they are too ignorant to see the list? All they do is roll their eyes like you are a hypochondriac? Aren't they working for us? Do they not get paid if they don't see patients? Why is their ego more important then helping people? This is the attitude that has kept me from seeing a dr on a regular basis. Whats the point if they aren't going to listen and run up the bill doing tests that aren't needed?

  • Why do gays keep insulting straights?

normal people to try and validate their mental illness? Don't they realize they are just making things worse? Homosexuality needs to be put back on the list of mental illness where it belongs.

  • My daughter wants to leave her husband?

Her husband is careless with money. They are losing their house. he spends and spends still. They both make good money that go into a joint account. But there's nothing there. He won't give her a straight answer where the moneys going. She swears he has another family he's paying for somewhere. he never stays home on his days off & leaves her alone with two small kids. I used to babysit for free so they could save money & catch up on the bills, but then he buys a new harley. So I told them to take the kids to day care! My elderly mother even had to help pay my daughters dentist bills what her insurance don't cover. Do you think she has good reason to want to leave???

  • Craigslist bull dog scam?

It was under pet adoption. This person who claims to be a priest and had to move to Africa says he's giving away two purebred English bulldog pups. You just have to send him shipping! Yes I know English Bulldog is not a breed. But that is what they are called in the US. So not to mistake them for American bulldogs. A much larger breed. Anyway. Its a scam.

  • Friends dog is sick with canine distemper?

A couple I know got a 2 year old female pit bull from the local City animal shelter here two weeks ago and then it came down with distemper. She is still in the mucusal stage. But way better then last time I saw her. She is moving around now. The diagnosis was confirmed by a vet on Friday. I read online that adults dogs have a 50/50 chance of recovery. This particular shelter has a history of selling sick dogs and of course denies anything. The couple have already spent over $600 on vet bills. They are waiting it out. The dog could have seizures But hasn't shown any signs as of yet. I am wondering if anyone here has had an adult dog diagnosed with distemper and did it survive to live a life w/out any long term effects?

  • Mentally challenged dog Test?

Has anybody tried it? I was wondering how accurate it is. I posted a link yesterday but deleted it because it wasn't working. Anyhow, I tried the test on my 15 month old female amstaff and she passed the cup test where you show the dog a treat, allow them to sniff and then make sure they are watching you place it under a paper cup, they are supposed to get the treat. And the blanket. A non-mentally challenged dog is supposed to try to get out from under the blanket.) I Guess my dog is a little immature and a (((LOT))) stubborn but not mentally challenged. (According to the test)
