Hong Kong Post terminology?
I've ordered something from Hong Kong. It is being shipped via Hong Kong Post Airmail I have a tracking number. However, when I use the tracking service, the status information I receive is very cryptic and uninformative.
For example, the first status, which was provided 2 days after the item was shipped was: posting.
The second status was: departure from outward office of exchange
What the heck does that mean? Did the plane just take off? Did the plane land and the package was handed over to USPS? Did it go through customs? What does it mean?
Thanks

1st status, "posting" - In continuous tense means the parcel is being shipped or in the post.
2nd status, "departure from outward office of exchange" - It should mean the parcel has already left the outbound port. Hope it helps. Check www.DiscoverHongKong.com and enjoy!
