Why didn't Brett Bielema play John Clay at all, would Wisconsin have won if he played?

I just don't get it. He's their number one back and he played the least? He saw a little bit of action in the 4th quarter.

Well for one, I was at the game.

Two, I'm a huge Wisconsin fan

and three you are absolutely right. Bret Bielema dropped the ball when it came to John Clay today. His unwillingness to assert him into the offense was inexcusable. 3 carries entering the 4th quarter, are you serious?? Listen, if Clay is hurt (and he has been) then I understand, but when you run him the final drive of the game and he looks 100% there is definately a problem. Listen, I know Ball was "killing them", but anybody who follows wisconsin football knows that Montee Ball couldn't handle John Clays jock strap. Ball played great the second half of the season, but before that he wasn't very good at all. Did he have a decent game today, yes (but you have to take into consideration the badgers offensive line outweighted the TCU d-line by an average of 55 pounds, so did Ball really have that great of game?)...either way he can't wear a defense down and get the yards with as much ease as John Clay can. John Clay behind that offensive line should have had 30 carries and he would have easily been over 200 yards. He is such a talented player. Barry Alvarez would have gotten it done today, Bielama is a fu*kup. He did this idiotic "running back by committee" thing all year and it got to his head and it cost them. What a moron. The guy should be fired.

Not only that, but Bielama is a self proclaimed "defensive expert" yet he didn't adjust his game plan at all today and he couldn't stop TCU. Sure TCU only scored 21 points, but the ease in which they were able to move the ball cost the Badgers field position throughout the 2nd half. He didn't send more than 4 guys one time during the whole game and the corners were giving 10-15 yards of cusion every single play. It was absolutely dreadful coaching. He was outcoached, simple as that.

At the time, Ball was killing TCU. At one point I believe he had like, 11 carries for 110 yards. Then he came down to earth in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. I think Clay should have gotten carries earlier than he did, but there was no reason to take out Ball who was dominating.

If the averages remained the same it would have made little difference.

    Ball - 22 rushes 6 yard average.

    Clay - 11 rushes 6.9 yard average.
