What kind of food do they have in Australia?

I'm moving to Australia in a few months... To be more specific Perth. And I wanna know (even though it's a random thing to ask) what kinda food they eat, is it more like British food, or American food, e.g. Oreos, reeses, lucky charms etc, what kinda stuff do they have over there?

British traditions persist to varying degrees in domestic cooking and the takeaway food sector, with roast dinners, the Australian meat pie and fish and chips remaining popular, but there are also new elements featured in these foods. To barbecue meats in the open air is considered a treasured national tradition.

While fast food chains are abundant, Australia's metropolitan centres possess many famed haute cuisine and nouvelle cuisine establishments. Restaurants whose product includes contemporary adaptations, interpretations or fusions of exotic influences are frequently termed "Modern Australian".

Generally Western, think BBQ, steaks and large sandwiches. But also pies, Italian and seafood. Lots of deep fried foods like Chico Rolls, Fish and Chips etc. In the cities, Vietnamese, Chinese, Greek and Middle Eastern are quite popular. I hope that helps.

I lived in Perth for 17 years. They have all the foods with which you are familiar, as there many imported foods stores. Australian foods include meat pies, spaghetti on toast, pavlova, baked beans on toast, and barbecued prawns.

It's like hillbilly british food. BBQ meats, seafood, and the rest comes from better food from immigrants like the chinese and indians
