Is it possible to have the disease COPD, but I have never been a smoker?

Lifetime asthma, lifetime chronic bronchitis also.

Update:

Inhalers do not help me. Do not spit up blood, but I have before. Cannot do much strenuous exersise, weezing and gasping for breath.

It is possible. Smoking is not the only cause of COPD, just the most common cause.

Only a dr. can tell you- and there is treatment. I have COPD.

COPD is inability to exhale 80% of your breathe in 1 sec. but also it has other criteria: chronic cough, dyspnea (all-time disturbed breathing), hemoptysis( bloody sputum).

it is possible but less than a smoker

usually a person with asthma has similar symptoms with a person who got COPD. but they are a lot different. if I knew about your medication history, I could help more
