It's a bad omen predicting a coming ice age. We're all gonna' die.

YES! Absolutely! Because the first thing to mark the end of the universe wouldn't be the sudden and rather rapid deceleration of the universe and it's subsequent collapse in on itself, nor every star going supernova, it'd be a flock of birds dying together in some random part of some random planet within said universe. Dark times ahead, indeed...

AGFC ornithologist Karen Rowe said that strange events similar to this one have occurred a number of times across the globe. “Test results usually were inconclusive, but the birds showed physical trauma and that the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail,” Rowe said.

Or it could be the end of the world.

No, I think it's a sign of human egotism to think every natural tragedy in some way revolves around us. I also think it's a sign of human stupidity that we can't stop polluting the environment enough to stop the birds from dying in the first place.

Man's extermination of the passenger pigeon (millions) should count more than 1000 dead birds.

No. The end times thingo is just a myth. Will the earth go out with a bang or a whimper? Who knows.

I jokingly asked a similar question

The serious side of me wants to know what may have caused it.

The fish the birds... just strange

Source(s): It was over 5000 birds and about 1000 fish that washed ashore.

No, but I do take it as yet another example of the bizarre things tornadoes can do. Did you know that if it suddenly starts raining fish during a storm, that means that you were narrowly missed by a significant tornado (EF2 or higher)?

1,000 birds can die from a case of beer and a dozen hand grenades on a poultry farm. Would that make me the Antichrist? By the way. You make me fu*cking sick.
