Modern books/authors (criteria included)?

For a book report, we need a book written from 1980- present day. It can't be part of a series, it can't have been made into a movie, and it can't be a short story. Oh yeah, and it needs to be 200 pages or more. Any suggestions? Thanks!

With A Silent Companion, by Florida Town. It's based on a true story, hasn't been made into a movie (yet) and it's a good read. Amazon.com has it.

  • You could try Rock Paper Tiger. I don't know exactly how long it is, but it could make for an interesting book report.

FYI, there is a lot of adult language and some very um...ah-hem...content. So if you're under seventeen please check with your parents before you pick this one up.
