2012 Moon crashing into earth?
I need websites that support this statement for a science project and can't find any! Regardless if you believe it or not, know of any websites that look scientific so I can bring them to class?
Thanks!
ps. Has to involve moon
Yeah well the teacher gave me the topic. Stop talking about how it isn't going to happen. I KNOW. I need support. It's not my fault the teachers an idiot.

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't any websites claiming that particular bit of nonsense. Since that hasn't been proposed as one of the silly doomsday scenarios, I doubt that anyone has bothered to debunk it. The Moon is actually moving further from the Earth at about 3.8 cm per year. It is never going to crash into the Earth. There. You have something about it from the internet.

Its merely astonishing what some human beings will have faith, even whilst its organic hogwash. The moon replace into formed 4.5 billion years in the past whilst a extensive asteroid struck the Earth that replace into nonetheless forming, and the debris of the effect created the moon. If the moon hit the Earth, the moon does not exist anymore, now could it? And if it happens each and every 10,000 years, the place does the moon come from for the subsequent hit? And if the moon have been to hit the Earth, the final factor you will would desire to tension approximately is thieves - surely everyone would be ineffective.

I suggest you pick a new science project. There is no evidence whatsoever that the Moon will ever crash into the Earth, much less next year. It's not a matter of belief; science is a matter of evidence. And that's what your science teacher will tell you when she gives you an F on this project. Pick something else.

That hasn't happened in 4.5 billion years, since before you could even call the two bodies "the Earth" and "the Moon".
"Yeah well the teacher gave me the topic. Stop talking about how it isn't going to happen. I KNOW. I need support. It's not my fault the teachers an idiot. "
Well then, you need to report your teacher to the principal and schoolboard for gross incompetence.
Either that or SWITCH TEACHERS OR SCHOOLS.

There is no website that will give you any scientific evidence for this.
The moon crashing into the earth just will not happen. The moon is *huge*! How do you suppose it would be moved? Anything big enough to move it will itself be the bigger danger.

The moon is not going to crash to earth. If anything, it moves away from the earth orbit at the rate of 2 inches per year.

Can I just clarify a couple of things?
Firstly, do you have an actual question to answer, or can you give the wording of your assignment?
Secondly, are you looking for support that it IS going to happen, or are you looking for evidence one way or the other?

Tell your teacher not to give you projects based on hoaxes and pseudo-science. It's his/her duty to teach you real science. If the teacher doesn't agree with you, report them to the school authorities.

Frankly, that's rather 'out there' even by the standards of proponents of the 2012 apocalypse hoax.

Oh man! That wasn't supposed to get out to the general public.
I don't know how you found out but you CAN'T have my seat on the escape vehicle.
