I need a cheap hobby, any suggestions?
I. am. bored. Not just now, I don't want some silly website to go, this is an ongoing thing. I sit at home all day long and I feel like I have no purpose to getting up. I'm a high school girl, but I take all my classes through a community college, and that's about all I do.
The problem is, I'm lack motivation, I need people like you who can convince me to do something, otherwise I just sit around being lazy and not liking my life.
I have a car and I can drive, but don't have lots of money. (I tried to get into fish to develop a love for something, but its an expensive hobby)
oh and it needs to be something I can do completely alone, I have no friends either :/
Luna- I am enrolled in a public high school, I'm 17 but attend college (state pays for it).
Sports are a good idea...I just don't wanna be associated with high school sorry :)

d00d, I would kill to have that much free time.
1. You have a computer, get into story writing. Just brainstorm some ideas, and get writing!
You can also try to write songs or poems. Upload them to www.wattpad.com, and you can get fans and everything. 100% free.
2. Get really into music. You can get a cheap ukulele for about $30 at some places, and let me tell you, the uke is amazing. Super fun. And with youtube tutorials, you can teach yourself. If you really like it, you can invest some more money into getting a guitar.
3. Get a job somewhere. Anywhere. That way, you'll have some extra cash, and getting out of the house will give you something to do.
4. Learn an extra subject. Personally, I would totally do this. Learn about psychology, physics, chemistry, anything! You could probably get classes like that at the community college you go to.
5. Get into beading. Have you ever heard of "kandi"? I make it a lot, and it is so fun to just sit and bead for hours upon hours. I could do that all day. Learn how to make cuffs and stuff, and then just build a collection.
6. World of Warcraft and The Sims 3 are amazing computer games. You can get really addicted to both, and if I had more free time, I would just play both of these games FOREVER. WoW is kind of expensive, but The Sims 3 goes for just $30-40, without any expansion packs. Both are totally worth it.
7. Learn another language, be it German or just Elizabeth English. You can find everything online, 100% free.
I hope I've given you some ideas! Personally, this is what I would do if I had more free time. :]

Workout. It actually helps you of course have more energy, helps depression, relieves stress, and a bunch of other things. You don't need workout equipment. Just do normal stuff. Search some thing on the web to help you find some that's right for you. Here's a link to a website with many many different workout. It's free to sign up to. I would suggest don't use and email you use frequently because they send you emails a lot. But they have really good free workouts.
Get yourself some resistance bands. They're around 15$ at wal mart. And it's basically like having a bowflex

And if you start to enjoy it I'd suggest invest in a good workout system like p90x. It's around 100 or at least it was when I bought. Probably one of the best if not the best in home workout you can get. And it's for everybody. If you can just do one push up or none or a hundred. It's a great program.
And if all u have is time. Do your body a favor and make it healthier so why not workout. :).
That's the knly hobby I got.

Knitting is great. I've been knitting for a year now and I love it. It's one of those things that is pretty cheap at the very start, gets more expensive for a while, then gets cheap again. When you start, you just pick out some yarn and needles and start learning stitches. The stage where you are accumulating knitting supplies for new projects would be the most pricey time, but if you take care of your needles and don't lose them, they'll last you forever and will get you through many projects. Then, eventually, you should only have to buy yarn for each of your projects. You can find knitting needle kits online for great prices -- better than buying them one at a time at the store.

Transform T-shirts!!
You have got to have clothes you or people in your family get rid of all the time, especially T-shirts! I totally feel you pain about feeling like you do nothing with your time. But when I left for college I had no friends and wasn't good at making them either so I was worried. But I had always loved recycling my bros old t-shirts into something more fitting and flattering and ... different. I started wearing them to my classes and always got alot of good comments about them and was even asked to make other girls in our dorm their own, which helped me find new friends. And it's not just about making yourself new clothing you can make all kinds of gifts out of them blankets, purses, earrings, dolls... the possibilities are endless. Barnes and noble even has books that give you ideas. Hope this helps!!

I bought a huge bag of embroidery floss one time and started making little bracelets for people.. whoever requested what, boom, I made it for them because it was fun. But that can get old. Try joining a sports team (soccer, lacrosse, and water polo are coming up!) and I cant tell if you said you are going to a regular highschool or not, but you can still join a highschool team as long as you are highschool age and live within a district. They have to let you play if to do.. at least where I live. They can't really turn you away if it is a public school. (My friend moved away after freshman year to go to a private school, but she still lived in the district, so she continued to play on our lacrosse team lol!) Also, you could try finding a job if you don't have one, or try taking up photography, or editing videos on windows movie maker, or filming simple things like makeup tutorials to post on YouTube.
Hope I helped and good luck :)
