  • Book about a Christian baseball player with a weird elbow?

I can't remember the title of this book. Its about a professional baseball player with a medical mystery elbow. He shouldn't be able to open a doorknob with out feeling searing pain, but he's somehow a major league pitcher. Any idea what book it is? Or the author or anything else about it?

  • Stories of people breaking into and living in houses in secret?

I once read a story/news article about some one who had broken into someones large house and lived there in secret. I think it may have taken place in Japan. Can someone please help me find this story? Basically the intruder lived there for months before he was caught, he'd sneak out of his hiding spot at night and steal food.

  • going to be tested for gluten intolerace, will not eating it affect my results?

I am going to see a doctor soon about stomach pains. After doing research, I think I may have an gluten intolerance. I've started cutting it out to see if it helps, but will this make any test results different? They test for certain antibodies in the blood, and will possibly test some stools to determine malabsorption levels (Steatorrhea).

But if I haven't been eating gluten, will these tests be different than if I had been consuming gluten? I don't want to mess up my results. Should I continue to not eat gluten to see if that helps, or should I eat it and rely on the tests?

  • How to make my betta happy?

I know all of the basics (well, the stuff most newbies don't know). He's in a 6 gallon tank, I do regular 10% changes, and test the ph/ammonia levels. He has a plant, a rock and heater to hide behind. I mostly feed him pellets with blood worms a few times a week, a fast day once a weak. He has a regular schedule with the lights.

I seem like a decent fish keeper right? But my betta just doesn't seem to be happy. He hides most of the time, his colors have dulled, he never makes a bubble nest anymore. Am I just being paranoid? Any suggestions? I absolutely love him, I want to him to be happy, and I'd love to see him swimming around.

  • Boy's names that contain an S, R or P?

Its kind of complicated so make sure to read everything.

It must contain an S but NOT start with it.

It must contain a P OR an R, doesn't need both

It CANNOT start with a P (but it can with an R)

And make sure its a boy's name :)

  • Grad party invites over facebook?

How rude is it to do grad party invites over facebook?

Should I just hit select all (well, many uncheck a few druggies) so no one feels left out? I guess my question is who do I invite? There are SO many people I've been friendly acquaintances with over my high school years, where do I draw the line of who to invite?

Does it look funny/rude to have invited people you obviously would never intentionally invite?

I tend to over think things and I'm a little stressed!

  • If I take melatonin for sleep will I not tan as well?

I haven't been able to fall asleep these last few weeks, so I've considered taking melatonin. I looked up some of its side effects, and one of them is that it is has a "photo protective property" and helps protect from UV light. I wanted to go tanning 5 times for prom, but am I going to be wasting my money on tanning if I take melatonin? Will I still tan?

  • Should I have a "grad party" this year or next?

I am a JUNIOR in high school (11th grade). But I have been accepted into a nice private school for next year, my senior year. I will live on campus there, become a normal college freshman. (It's called Post Secondary Enrollment Option, I'll go to college instead of high school but the state still pays for it as if I were attending a public high school.)

I'm done with high school, I'll never be there, I will be just like college freshman next year, but technically I haven't graduated yet.

***Should I have something like a grad party THIS year?*** (or next when I technically graduate?)

  • I need an idiom like "be careful what you wish for"?

I'm trying to say something like "are you sure you want to ask that" or something that conveys that they are only hurting themselves by doing what ever they are doing. But I want it to be more clever :)

  • What do you think of this sib set? (semi unique)?

    Jemison Paul (nn Jem)

    - or should it be Jasper Paul? Jesper (nn Jesse?) Paul?

Selah Carys (pronounced like Paris, it's welsh for love)

    Lucia Marie

Risa Sheryl (rhymes with Lisa- is spanish for laughter. Sheryl honors someone but it isn't a must)

Isaac Jeffery (Jeffery honors someone but isn't a must)

    - do you like Isaac Miro better? Isaac Preston?

There has to be a girl L, a girl with Marie and there has to be a boy J-Paul

So I have Jemison, Lucia, Selah, Risa, Isaac

  • Dangerous to add ich meds if the fish isn't sick?

I'm worried about my molly having ich...the problem is she is white/silver so its really hard to tell if she has white spots. Her tail is more clear, ad there is definitely tiny white spots there and I can't tell if there are any on her body. I don't think there are any on my black molly. The white was had been under a lot of stress, which, if I'm not mistaken, can cause it?

She's been a little less active then usual, but its hard to say. I haven't seen her actually rub against things, but she does glue herself to rocks/ornaments quite tightly, just no back and forth/scraping.

So I can't really tell if its ich...will I harm my fish if I add the meds but they're not actually sick? anything else I could do?

  • There's a snail in my tank?!?

    I didn't buy him :)

Hes super tiny...I'm pretty sure its a snail at least.

how in the world did he get there?

Should I get rid of him? Is there anyway of knowing if he'll overpopulate my tank?

He's kinda cute :) and I was thinking of getting some sort of algae eater/bottom dweller anyways so yeah, is he a threat to my fish (2 female mollies)? anything special I need to do if I keep him?

  • My molly is a bully, will adding another fish help?

I have 2 female mollies right now, and one is such a bully to the other. She won't let her eat hardly anything, and the other one spends all day hiding. I bought another plant to break up his line of vision, but it doesn't seen to help. i have room for 1 more molly, would buying another make the bully a little better? Should I get a male or female, will it make a difference? (I know about breeding). Any other tips? Should I buy another live plant so the molly who barely eats can nibble on that?

  • I need a cheap hobby, any suggestions?

    I. am. bored. Not just now, I don't want some silly website to go, this is an ongoing thing. I sit at home all day long and I feel like I have no purpose to getting up. I'm a high school girl, but I take all my classes through a community college, and that's about all I do.

The problem is, I'm lack motivation, I need people like you who can convince me to do something, otherwise I just sit around being lazy and not liking my life.

I have a car and I can drive, but don't have lots of money. (I tried to get into fish to develop a love for something, but its an expensive hobby)

  • Is it possible to keep sword tails in a 7 gal?

I know its not ideal...but would they be okay if I stayed on top of water changes?

They're my boyfriends, but they are harassing his other fish too much so he wants to put them in my 7 gal.

there are 3 of them...two males (stupid lady at the pet store didn't listen when he asked for two females). Could I just take one of the males? would that bring down the aggression? Or should they be in groups?

Anyone have a good site for sword tails? obviously I don't know much about them
