headaches question for anyone with answers?

Hi...well first thing is...CONGRATULATIONS...On the upcoming birth of your child.I have 2 grown daughter's..I remember those days of being pregnant,and I LOVED carrying my babies..I LOVED being pregnant so much.Just something special about being pregnant..Anyways back to your issue at hand...I want to give you a little history about when I had a severe medical problem while I was pregnant.I have Lupus(sle),and when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter(now 18),I developed Pleurisy..which is so painful,I did have a high0risk OB/GYN at that time as well.And,he was a terrific doctor,so intelligent too.Well,since I tried about every single pain medication I could find over-the-counter to help ease my pleurisy pain,nothing helped ease this pain I had.So,he(my OB/GYN) gave me percocet's for my pleurisy pain.He said to ONLY take when necessary,and of course I was well aware of that.I only took 1/2 a pill,I was scared to take any at all.But I fully trusted my doctor 100%.I think you should speak with your OB/GYN and ask about the medication you were taking before.You DID say that the medicine Nurafen..which is just Ibuprofen and Codeine,really worked like a breeze for these bad headaches.If he/she agrees with you taking it...then why not.It's much better than you suffering and taking too much Acetaminophen(paracetamol).Maybe there is a different medication you can take for your headaches.I was also prescribed xanax for my severe anxiety attacks,I DID take that medication as told....I NEVER had ANY ill effects while taking that medication,and neither did my youngest daughter.She ended up weighing 8 pounds and 91/2 ounces.A WHOPPER...Thank GOD I had a c-section....If I were you? I would be asking for alternatives for pain relief.Just because your pregnant? Doesn't mean that you have to suffer for an entire 9 months.No way could I have suffered with Pleurisy for 9 long months.If you've ever had pleurisy? Then you know what I'm talking about,like I've never had your kind of severe headaches either.It wouldn't hurt to at least speak with your doctor about an alternative medication.It doesn't have to be any kind of opiate..just a pain relief medication,besides the one you've been using.I wish you and your family ALL the very best.And,I also hope that these headaches get under better control.I know how it feels being pregnant...and in pain at the same time...GOD BLESS...

normally when i have a really bad headache what i do is lay down and listen to music or read a book,it really does work because i get so into other things and i dont really think about the headache it just goes away.i hope you find something that helps for you cause headaches are very annoying =]

Have you got any fillings? (teeth) That black stuff, I think it's called malagam or something like it. I used to get real sharp pain headaches until I had them removed. No more head aches. Hope this helps.

Take 1.5 inches of ginger, grill it on the flame till it turns black.

Take off the peel and then eat it as soon as you get the headache.

allthough optics could still be the problem it could be a number of things. for the time period you mentioned a doctor should be consulted whether they are migrain or cluster headaches, good luck

mabey its stress have u been doctors about it ????? and with the pain killers mabey cause uve taken so many ur body is imune to them so u might need summink a bit stronger?????
