Why do ATHEISTS deny the FACT the Bible is scientifically accurate?

All I can remember is that the bible says bats are birds (correct) and rain is caused by god's giant bow (also correct).

I have been fortunate to have read a copy of the Bible compiled into a book in 1640. While it had some very interesting info and is very different from the edited versions available today it has very little in it that would be considered scientific. The Bible was never produced to be a scientific document. Your examples eg: Clouds, Thunder and Lightening and their descriptions you have given are not a scientific process for their existence. Do some educational research and see the correct reasons for their existence.

The Christian bible has no science in it. It cannot be accurate as it describes nothing scientific, and where it does describe aspects of the natural world, the Christian bible consistently gets such descriptions wrong.

Is the Earth a flat disk? Is the Earth the center of the Universe? Do demons cause disease? Are bats birds?

Oh, wait. Is this a Poe's law situation? It's so hard to tell the trolls from theists when theists are prone to wild eyed claims with no basis in fact.

Did you seriously just say that if you place striped branches in front of sheep while they mate, their offspring will result in offspring with similar patterns? Oh man, if that's in the bible, I think you just disproved your own point. XD Scientifically speaking, if two wild sheep (Which for all intents and purposes are 'normal' by today's standards) were to bare a child with a similar pattern to those of the tree, that's called a genetic mutation, and it is neither unheard of nor magic, it's why children can be born with all kinds of traits. If such a pattern allowed the sheep to survive and mate successfully, that mutation would have a chance to be passed on to it's offspring. It's offspring would survive better than those without the pattern, and thus with time such a pattern would become the norm. THAT'S genetics gov.

Because even as a believer you should know that things these ancestors did not understand they attributed to God...God did not send lightning down hurling it deliberately at our house to kill our animals, that was an act of nature. He did not send a lightning bolt down to hit my girlfriend who was walking on the beach, your chances of getting hit by lightning in your lifetime is 1 in 2-3000, and if you consider it a deliberate act of god where will your faith stand then. The bible has some pearls of truth, some misunderstandings, many myths, which were then given as much credibility as logic, and some error. so, if you could be a little more intelligent, maybe you wouldn't help create atheists. I can't blame them a bit when they have to listen to stuff like this.

The Christian Bible makes it clear also that the chief deity did not endow men and women with free will. Consider the following verses:

If people are evil it is because God has chosen to make them evil (Rom 1:24-28) and caused them to disobey him (Rom 11:32). If they do not understand God's message it is because he has made their minds dull (Rom 11:8) and caused them to be stubborn (Rom 9:18). God prevents the Gospel from being preached in certain areas (Act 16:6-7) and he fixes long before it will happen when a person will be born and when he or she will die (Act 17:26). Those who were going to be saved were chosen by God before the beginning of time (ii Tim 1:9 Eph 1:11). If a person has faith and is thereby saved, their faith comes from God, not from any effort on their part (Eph 2:9-10)

Ergo, according to the Bible, atheists, gays, nonChristians, and other "deviants" as defined by Christianity, either liberal or conservative Christianity, were made that way by God, and there is nothing believers can, or indeed should, do about it. God made them atheists, there is nothing you can do according to your Bible, sorry.

clouds aren't god's footprints... they are made of water, also lightning is a natural electric discharge and the thunder is the sound that comes when the air around it gets rapidly heated...

also, the bible has many scientific in-corrections, some of them have already been mentioned, but to add, the bible also says that the moon is a light and that animals and plants were only made to be food for human beings.

According to the Bible, the pattern on animals can be changed just by having them look at different patterns. Unlike chameleons this pattern change alters the animal's genetics and is passed down to its offspring. In Genesis 30:37-43 Jacob has his cattle view a striped rod, resulting in the cattle having a new striped pattern.

Scientifically accurate?

any scientific book must be internally consistent. The Bible has two sets of Genesis stories, multiple version of the Resurrection and two sets of 10 commandments.

There is no way the bible is a scientific accurate book. I hate to think waht a real peer review would do, but then again god wrote it, right?

The Bible is at best a history book with stories in it. The Bible was never designed or meant to be a science book, even Christians like you should now that.
