Now Roy has been driven out?
Will the Liverpool "Supporters" throw the same vitriol at King Kenny when he proves himself to be a managerial dinosaur. Fantastic servant for the club but he will be found wanting once the sparkle wears off. We all know that you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
@ Dan. Temporary, well we'll see about that won't we, he wants the job full time. The only way it'll be temporary is if (when, more likely) it all gets too much for him. I don't profess to know better, it's just that this has a funny smell about it when looking in as a neutral.
As for your Ramos comment, we didn't take to Ramos because we didn't want to see Martin Jol given the bullet under such tawdry circumstances.
Dan, I agree he will have the respect of the players but there is so much more to managing a club than just having respect, that respect won't last long if his methods and tactics are outdated. As for ex players offering congratulations, that has no influence on whether he will be a success or not.
Martin. As a football fan I hope you're right, a strong liverpool is good for the league although no team has a divine right to success. I just can't help but feel that Liverpool supporters have somehow tarnished their reputation where loyalty to the manager is concerned. If you are Truly honest then you must admit that the murmurs were there from day one. The fans have also exploded the myth regarding their knowledge of the game, blaming the manager when the team are clearly lacking real strength in depth. Once you got injuries to Gerrard,Torres and Carragher (Liverpool manager in waiting, in my opinion) you were looking very bare of quality.

I was gonna say you can't polish a turd but you put it better. Dalglish is a legend and something tells me they should've left it at that. Football's moved on in a big way since he was a manager.

You do know kenny is only here till we find a new manager yeah.
At the end of the day the players wanted woy out the fans did the board did but hey I guess a tottenham fan knows better. Did you lot give Ramos a chance?
The appointent will only be made full time if he is a success. At the end of the day he wont do any worse then Hodgson and he has the respect of the players even ex players like xabi alonso are congratulating him surely a manager with the team behind him is better then a manager who the team wants gone?

I really feel for Kenny D, because the hype and expectations that have been heaped upon his appointment are almost super-human, and look at what he has to work with.
Liverpool might get a fleeting rush of blood to the head with the new manager's appointment, but as you say, he won't be able to sustain it, and I hope that the fans will remember that Kenny D was their choice, when he too fails to deliver what is expected of him.

They may experience a 'slight' period of 'new manager bounce'... but all will return to normal pretty soon
