What should I wear sledding?

Alright, I am 17, a guy, and I'm going sledding today, but I don't really have any sledding stuff. It is super cold out (10°F), like... I have gloves and a hat, but I don't have any waterproof pants or a normal winter coat. I only own a peacoat and sweatshirts... can I wear a peacoat sledding? Should I just wear jeans? I don't really have any sweatpants either, because if I want to dress comfy I just wear shorts. I am most concerned with the pants, because I think I can get away with wearing my peacoat... any help?

    LAYERS are VITAL!

    Start with a undershirt

First layer should be thermals. A thermal long sleeve shirt and pants if you don't have that do just basic pants and a long sleeve.

Then a tee shirt and shorts (basketball shorts) this layer keeps your bum and shoulders warm.

    Next a sweatshirt and sweatpants

Then a hoodie and another sweatpants

Then a scarf gloves hat (a hat that covers your ears) and a coat

Just wear the warmest stuff u have, but i suggest u at least buy a pare of waterproof pants! Wear a really warm shirt under your coat. And maybe even get a winter jacket for next year.
